Giovanna Di Martino
Giovanna Di Martino is Lecturer in Classics at Oxford. She has worked on the reception of Aeschylus in Italy 1500–1960 for her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Fiona Macintosh. Originally from Italy, she gained both her BA and MA in Classics at the State University of Milan. She wrote her MA thesis on the reception of the Seven Against Thebes in the United States, for which she spent a semester at the University of Notre Dame under the supervision of Prof. Isabelle Torrance. She is publishing the monograph Translating and Adapting Aeschylus’ Seven Against Thebes in America (Skenè, Verona). Her ongoing research investigates translation of Greek drama in the early modern period.

Eleftheria Ioannidou
Eleftheria Ioannidou is Assistant Professor in Theatre/Performance in the department of Arts, Culture & Media of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Prior to her current appointment, she was a lecturer at the University of Birmingham, UK and a Humboldt Fellow at the Freie Universität of Berlin. She studied theatre at the University of Athens (ΒΑ) and Royal Holloway, University London (MRs) and read for a doctorate at the University of Oxford. Her research interests lie in the reception, adaptation, and performance of Greek tragedy in the twentieth century. She has published the monograph Greek Fragments in Postmodern Frames: Rewriting Tragedy, 1970-2005 (OUP, 2017). Her ongoing research investigates performances of Greek tragedy under fascist regimes in Germany, Italy, and Greece in the interwar period.
Sara Troiani
Sara Troiani is a PhD student and tutor in Greek Literature and Language at the University of Trento. She works on the translations of ancient Greek drama by the Italian scholar Ettore Romagnoli (early 20th Century) with a focus on their internal performability (Supervisor: Prof. Giorgio Ieranò). Among her interests of research: Ancient Theatre Reception, relationship between New Dithyramb and its performance. She also studied Acting and Directing, and attended a MA in Performing Arts Management, organized by the Accademia Teatro Alla Scala, Piccolo Teatro di Milano and MIP. She courrently works as assistant director and production manager for Italian theaters and ensembles.
